In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Chess Federation, Swiss artist Catherine Pearson was invited by Swiss Post to create a collector's stamp release for Spring 2024.

Inspired by the energy and dynamism of the Italian art movement Futurism, she experimented with bold shapes and intricate compositions to embody the calculated tactics used by players to outsmart their opponents. The chessboard’s pattern weaves through the scene, serving as a unifying element that highlights the connection the game brings to players worldwide.
