Berlin’s Best Brunches

In August 2018, I went for a trip to the beautiful city of Berlin. I discovered a lots of great places to brunch. Here are my top three favorite spots you should definitely try whenever your’re in Berlin.

House of Small Wonder

Opened in the summer of 2010 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn by Motoko Watanabe and Shaul Margulies, House of Small Wonder (HOSW) soon became a popular place for breakfast, lunch and all day brunch and pastries. (Source; House Of Small Wonder)

Distrikt Coffee

Part third-wave coffee shop, part gallery, Distrikt is a great spot to enjoy high quality coffee as well as discover local up-and-coming artists. The exposed brick walls are perfect backgrounds for the rotating displays of artwork, as well as the café’s regular events, which include stand-up comedy evenings and even small operas. As well as locally-roasted coffee blends, you can also find whole-leaf teas and a brunch menu with antipodean influences. (Source; afar.com)

Commonground

Located right on Rosenthaler Platz in Berlin-Mitte, Commonground caters for both guests of the Circus Hotel, in which it is based, and others, with breakfast and brunch until the evening hours. When the weather's nice, you can also enjoy your breakfast in the outdoor area. On Friday evenings, as well as Saturdays and Sundays, the café has a strict no-laptop policy.
